The Apostolic Avenue
1. (2 Pet 1:20 KJV) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2. (Gen 40:8 KJV) And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
3. (John 1:1 KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
4. (2 Tim 2:15 KJV) Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
5. (2 Pet 3:16 KJV) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
6. (Isa 28:13 KJV) But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Example:
(Psa 106:2 KJV) Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can show forth all his praise?
Psa 107:2 KJV) Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
The Use of Scripture:
(2 Tim 3:16 KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Judgement Verses Correction and Instruction in Righteousness:
(Mat 7:1 KJV) Judge not, that ye be not judged.
(John 7:24 KJV) Judge not according to the appearance, (Flesh) but judge righteous judgment (Use Scripture).
Example:
(1 Sam 16:6 KJV) And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord's anointed is before him.
(1 Sam 16:7 KJV) But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
(1 Sam 16:12 KJV) And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
(Rom 2:2 KJV) But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
(1 Pet 4:17 KJV) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
(1 Cor 11:32 KJV) But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
(John 3:17 KJV) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:18 KJV) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(1 Cor 11:31 KJV) For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Example:
(Acts 13:46 KJV) Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
Conclusion:
The judgement of God is according to written truth. If I refused to obey written truth; I judge myself unworthy of everlasting life.
