Summary of the Benefits of Baptism

1. Baptism is for the forgiveness of sins.

2. The name of Jesus Christ is what makes baptism work. (NOT titles Father, Son, Holy Ghost but the NAME)
[Acts 10:43, John 1:12, Acts 22:16, & 1 Cor 6:11]

3. Baptism enables us to be a new and living creature.
[Rom 6:4, Heb 9:14, Col 2:12-13, & 1 Cor 6:11]

4. Baptism gives us boldness to enter into the Holy of Holies that
we may obtain grace in our time of need.
[Heb 4:16 How? Heb 10:19]

5. Baptism is essential to fulfill all righteous. A servant is not
above his master if Jesus, who was without sin, had to be
baptized to fulfill all righteous, how much more does the servant who is in sin need baptism.
[Mat 3:15-16]

6. Baptism fulfills types and shadows.
